Dr. Holmberg grew up in Poulsbo, Washington, located on the Kitsap Peninsula. He earned his Bachelor's degree in Cellular and Molecular Biology with a minor in Chemistry from Western Washington University. During his undergraduate career he participated in a student exchange to Belgium. He earned his Doctor of Optometry degree with honors from the New England College of Optometry in Boston.
He completed a residency at the Veterans Administration Healthcare System in Massachusetts. During training, Dr. Holmberg worked at two world renowned eye hospitals: the Bascom-Palmer Eye Hospital in Miami and the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary in Boston. Dr. Holmberg relocated to California from the East Coast after getting married. He and his family live in the Natomas area. Dr. Holmberg looks forward to providing you and your family with quality eye care for years to come. He provides comprehensive eye examinations with a focus on eye health. He is also licensed to treat glaucoma. State-of-the-art equipment such as the Zeiss iProfiler, a modern frame and contact lens dispensary and caring staff members assist him. Starting April 2019, Dr. Holmberg will be the new President of The Sacramento Valley Optometric Society.
